Dual Slash-Weapon Layout?

Recently I've seen a lot of people use a dual sword layout, can anyone tell me if this is beneficial for when you use slash? Or doesn't it really affect it at all?

What are you talking about? the weapon gear ppl use? Like the pictures? The gear's looks doesn't affect anything. Being a sword picture or a ninja star picture doesn't affect anything at all. Its just for looks and to make ppl go oooOOOoooh, Shiny, ME want, and then they spend money to get it.

Not the looks, but, say, someone uses two sabres, does that mean they won't deal damage with stars and their slash damage is doubled?

No. Equipping two swords does not increase your slash damage nor does equipping two stars increase star damage. It's all cosmetics. The only this that affects does is the attack on the weapon you have equipped. So lets say you have 15k damage with two swords equipped, it will do 15k damage weather you you swipe or tap the enemy.

LOL, that's the same way of thinking as mine when I started with this game, Stoquito. It seemed logical to my that if you had two swords, you wouldn't deal damage with the stars, so I had one sword weapon and one star weapon equipped all the way through the newcomer event, although that way I was weaker.
