Spenders Vs Non-spenders

Finally a debate thread lol. = P. been waiting for one of these. So Ppl have been goin on spenders vs non spenders and what defines a spender. I couldnt figure out how to move the individual posts without moving the entire topic here but here is what the conversation is so far.

I also wanted to add in, do any1 remember lilkim? He was a low lvl player and nobody in the top 10 knew him very well and yet he ranked 1 in the first 2 events. I'm not saying he cheated by no means but he was a suspicious case due to his sudden drop from his second event and never heard from again. He also managed to get all the primal gears to maxed fused too. And thats no feat either. So he either dropped a lot of money on those events or not, thats not the case. IT does however bring up a point to what i'm making. Somebody that can pick this game up in 1 day and drop a lot of money into this game can bypass everybody that has been playing this game for a long time now. Yes this is a pay to win app game but something like that is also a big game changer. That is what i mean when i say there r some annoyance when low lvl can compete with u. I know for a fact like the regular players like ps520, canatian, or besthippo, even you tribaby4115 are long time players of the game and to have a new person sweep in 1 event and out rank all of you just because they have a big wallet. Which is unfailr to all ur time and money u spent on this game.

I couldn't imagine spending what amounts to a plane ticket to Central America or a really great weekend to win an event on a game like NR. That's just not something that would ever cross my mind. I might spend a little every now and again on a kit or a sushi early on in an event, but I really just don't see the appeal after that.

i think that its fair to spend. however i like to lay back for a few events and stock up all the freebies they hand out so that in a few events i can spend only a little and get within the top 200 easily sometimes the top 50-70 but then again im not doin very good in the events i have to take it easy.
To me the biggest problem is locking floors or stages. the first lock i can understand a little bit but the second lock is what keeps me from doin very well in the arena because theres just not enough time to get through the towers without spending. i mean if your on floor 13 and you fight only black hiesters it still takes about 9 of them to clear the stage so whats' that $15 in super dupers HAHA if not then it takes me almost a day and a half to clear. i've just learned to except that for the most part if you want the 2nd or 3rd clans epic your gonna pay for it one way or another, saving or spending.
i have two ninjas i only play the first day or two of the event & then dont play them any more and i've manged to stock up about 190 doryaku(s) 200 minor draws 30 cookies so in the next primer or crackdown i can play with one of them and uses the max dory (s) each day of a crackdown

I would define a spender as someone who spends money regularly. I've purchased sushi I think twice, but I wouldn't consider myself a spender.

Learning how to deal with the events is the biggest thing, and if you don't want to spend money, be prepared to spend time if you want to do really well.

I don't consider those who plop down anything less than $10 - $20 as spenders. To me that is just spending to get something, like a rank you like, or an item that you fancy. That to me is like waking up in the middle of the night to use up your turns. And yes, that is what dropping 20 bucks on this game is like, too steep a price for too little a gain.
