Ynot563's strategy to crackdown raid bosses
I've been giving a lot of tips in chat recently and decided to post my strategy I use for crackdown. I'm a decent ranker on leaderboards in top 200s and lower. Note that this does not insure you MVP or top 3. It just gives you a better chance at getting MVP or top 3 without having to spend a whole lot. This strategy takes advantage of the amount of people that attack 1/2 an hour to 1 hour in the beginning of a new team battle.
Rule of thumbs:
1. Attack schedule bosses 1/2 an hour to 1 hour from the beginning of team battles. (e.g. if boss starts at 8am pst you have until 9am pst to atk)
2. Observe your competition first, take note what their base dmg is after 3bt uses. If you can compete with them then join the next spawned boss.
3. Wait for the team edge to get to 2x, never attack when its lower.
4. Always set up your energy so that you have 3 bts and you are 1 mission from lvling up. (You should have a total of 6bts to use on a raid boss from not using any dorayaki)
5. If your always on a losing team you can try to join a team right at the start of team battle (join exactly at 8am pst or 8pm pst). You have a higher probability of being paired with a cash player or pro.
6. Don't waste dorayaki on the non schedule bosses unless your a cash player.
The raid boss battle:
So lets just say you actually got into a boss battle and picked the lvl 45.
For the sake of this strategy:
Boss' hp = 1 mil
Your base attack = 170k
When you attack at 8am pst or 8pm pst(the starting of team battles), you have to know that bosses drop like flies during this half an hour period because everyone is using bts at this time. Always attack a fresh new spawn first(this is key!). If people already have scores up on the boss already, wait it out and attack the new one that spawns.
This outline is how I see the battle(keep in mind that everybody is attacking 1-2 secs off from you).
You attack newly spawned boss first
boss' hp = 830,000
opponent 1 attacks = 150k
boss' hp = 680,000
opponent 2 attacks = 140k
boss' hp = 540,000
opponent 3 attacks = 130k
boss' hp = 410,000
You attack again
boss' hp = 240,000
opponent 1 attacks = 150k
boss' hp = 90,000
opponent 2 attacks = 140k
boss' hp = DEAD
opponent 3 attacks = 130k (Doesn't count)
fight is over
RESULTS
You = 340,000 damage (MVP)
opponent 1 = 300,000 damage
opponent 2 = 280,000 damage
opponent 3 = 130,000 damage
Usually you're spending 9 bts, 3 from just saving up, 3 more from level up, then 3 more dorayaki uses.
If your a high level and don't want to use dorayaki or ran out you can do this with 6bts fighting the lvl 25. (These are just how much you need if you really want to insure your mvp - top 3 spot).
Long story short, attacking first is the best way to ensure that you are mvp and following it up with more attacks. Common sense right? The more times you attack the higher your damage will be. This can even be done if your competition is a little bit stronger than you, as long as you got first attack, your more than likely to use a total of 9 bts and the 2nd place person will mostly only get to use 6 bts, because the last 3 bts he/she use didn't count because the boss was already dead.
So many people contribute that you might even get lucky and only have to use 3 or 6 bts.
This strategy works for lvl 25 boss too. Just make sure that a higher level person isn't in that fight your doing. (rule of thumb - if you see somebody lowering the level 25 boss to 1/4 hp with just 3 bts, then most likely that is a high level player just trying to get a instant mvp, so don't join that.
I said it already but I'm going to repeat it down here. The two most important rule of thumb are observe your competition to see if you can match and always attack first!!
This is for really weak players - if you can't even compete in lvl 25 boss fight just use 1 bt to get the pts. It'll insure you that the boss will die when you use it around this time.
To all the people that complained about getting locked at stage 8, think of it as an advantage. If you can kill the super boss in 1 shot you gain 2k points easily. If your in frenzy you have a good chance to run into the super boss 4-5 times. Thats a instant 8k-10k points right there.
Any questions, you can reply and I'll try to answer them or post your own strategy!

It is your choice to use sandstill if you wish to. I personally use it near the end when all the bosses' pts double. I consider sandstills a "O crap, if I don't get mvp my team is going to lose the team battle and there is only 1 min left!" or "O crap, the event is about to end and I need more pts for rank!" Its essentially a panic button to me.

Thanks ynot i've been playing for months now and its nice to see the strategy laid out. your the man!!
Also, i wrote this in the primer event but the same applies here; when first signing in for a while look to see if your team is still active or if you have to start a new team. if your team battle has ended dont collect your points for raid bosses, they wont go towards any team points. always make sure you are on a team for collecting your points. also if your team has no chance odf winning dont collect any of your points earned from raid bosses till the next team starts, that way you can start with points and you havent even used a BT for your new team. i hope this help someone
