Arena Event: The Howlback 6/27/13 - 7/7/13

well this blows..no bad dog release yet and flrs 11-15 flrs opened up within 2 days of the event. I haven't had time to even start my 3rd tower. R.I.P free players.

I need around 3 karmas to clear 1 floor after flr7
whoever said 3 towers is easy for 10 days, i'm not counting on it
 

Elfie, depends which tower you are fighting and if you are breaking combo. Did you lose your streak? Are you wasting lots of turns from lost battles cause the opponent was too strong? (I heard from mafia that he is getting butchered in the fire tower and that he's popping first aids like they were drugs)

All those can cause you to slow down a floor. Try to attack the weakest ninja and get reps cause your gear isn't too good. Every 5 kills should be equivalent to a big dog so try that instead of fighting big dogs or level 1000 opponents. Furthermore, try to keep frenzy up and it makes your life easier

They even lowered the amount the small health kit heals. This arena is more difficult overall.

Not to mention the hacker is back...

Finish 3 towers level 10. Left 3 aid kits.... Lost 3... which is weird because I was keeping track of them and was definitely less than 24 hours... what's with NR? Of course I am assuming its base on first in first out concept for the aid kits.

Clearing 3 towers should be achievable subject that you have decent gears, decent friends that send you lots of kits and you maintain win streak. To maintain win streak read up on the tips already given. Can't help you with the gears. Those take time, but the help that you can get from the forum should guide you a little ways.

Russ, they changed a lot of things this event..who knows if they even changed the expiration for kits now :/

It seems to me when I go for the low level players I get my but kicked. I am level 500 plus I can attack a lv150 or so and they take 1/2 to 3/4 of my health where someone who is ranked equal or higher than me won't do much damage at all. I have decent gears do around 250k damage in my strong towers.
Anyone else seeing this it always seems like nr is trying to screw me lol.

Hey All ! Just been trying to play a little more casual this Event and Last. Have not Spent yet this Event, sitting round #450 Cleared Earth 1-10, Fire 1-5, On Water Floor 9. I agree seems a little tougher this time around, Even with spending I usually never clear 3 floors 1-15, get real close but no. Yeah ynot the free player thing seems tough if you want the epic suits like Mizuchi this Event 8)Win-Streak at 228, Ended with like 450 WS. I usually wind up with what Top Ten have right now lol, like 450-550 Oh and Still have never recieved a first aid from a friend, which is wierd cause I send them whenever I can.

Yea, gotta use them assists up. Did u look at sarah's guide to big dogs? That should help some. I found that skimping on ur kits dont help at all. Use em all and set urself up for big dogs or bad dogs with sarah's guide. I've only seen ur kit once nick. Maybe keep 1 to 2 in reserve but if u have more than that i say its safe for u to use em and force an assist.

I'm around 1600, and I have been running into some very strong ninjas around level 100. I have been lucky to have an assist, but most of these guys have cost me to get 4 draws and 1 loss already. It's getting on my nerves because this has happened twice already when I was at a good 100+ streak. I'm currently battling in the fire tower as well, so that might be my problem.

Yeah, with how things are recently, noobs have been paying out of their pockets to compete. Because of that, it makes it very hard to beat some noobs. Some of them are still manageable, but there were a handful that was able to drop me from full to 1/3.

That just doesn't seem fair lv should play more into things. I am not a big spender prob only spent 40 since I have been playing but I am a loyal player that should count for something. If it gets to where you can't compete without spending tons of money I may have to quit playing.

I think some of the new players are receiving free super dupers for this event? It's the only explanation that so many low level players have multiple 5 rare items obtained from the top dogs. I haven't received a single super duper for this event. I think someone mentioned earlier in this thread that his/her noob account received a super duper for event? I don't think just SUDDENLY all the new players decided they want to spend money all at the same time..... Not sure why we don't get the usual super duper and a second one for free after using the first.

And about a free player clearing all towers being possible is a lie. Well, it IS possible, but VERY unrealistic especially for this event. Like some have said, you do need to have pretty decent gear, and to do that you will have to either spend money, or save up all the super dupers u have received from previous rounds and use them all at once. You will also have to be very lucky and not break a single win streak. Which is especially difficult this round as I've ran into multiple low level players that have all 5-6 rare gear and fly around very fast on the screen, resulting a draw and stopping my streak.

The freebies in the beginning you get have been glitchy in this event. Some ppl didnt get them some did. I am one of the few that got all my freebies. So that was just on NR's part.

For the newbs getting superdupers: You would be surprised how many noobs would spend on this game just for some  shiny new r6 gears. Fyi, when u are spending for the first time your first purchase from the premium store will result in everything costing 100 mobacoins. So if ur willing to drop 99 dollars for ur first spending then you can buy 99 of anything in the premium store.

For free players it is possible to do all 3 towers. Keep that streak up!

I've noticed that there is an increase in the take down rate of big wolves. I'm killing them in most of my battles with frenzy alone. I've killed 32 of them now which seems a lot higher than any other previous event. Has anyone else noticed this or is it just me?

Had a weird bug earlier. My frenzy timer was 6 minutes but my energy refresh rate was at 5 minutes. But went back to normal after level up... Weird.

And lost a karma turn although that happens once in awhile and might not be connected.

Ok so here's a story to share today,
I was at floor 12 of my first tower with 14reps left to clear, I had 1 full bar of energy to spend and guess what?
I kept running into either top dogs or players I cannot defeat.
Finally when frenzy kicks in at 17 energy left, I only got 1 encounter and I fought a big dog instead of the players that I don't wanna risk losing/draw again.
When I'm at my last hit after an assist, NR bugged out and I can't hit it..the big dog just flies around very fast and laughed at me..

Long story short, I quit that tower after clearing the floor and moved back to my 2nd tower to flr6..

I have had that bug a few times where the dog gets stuck moving around really fast right after an assist comes and I have to force close...sux because I should have that kill. :/

yeah this happened to me too and but in my turn it was a top dog sux

Can't reach 5 towers without using SD... kits slowed down suddenly last 2 days.

But here is what's weird. I sent Canatian a kit, and her name appeared a little while later again. Which means she cleared the earlier kit, and I have an assist coming. But she never appeared. Lost bloody gold and green battle testing that out. Although can still restart, but its the principle of the thing. Assists should be at least reliable. d^mn NR.

Stuck on 10th and 8th of last two floors at the moment.

Double points is now on!!!
