How the Combo Edge Works
------------------------------------
When you encounter a team battle raid boss for the first time after your team is assembled, you will see the word "No Edge" on the bottom right corner of the raid boss window. When one of your teammates attack the boss, that triggers a combo and the edge will start at 1.5x. Attacking while the edge is at 1.5x will boost your normal damage on the boss x 1.5. For example, if your normal damage on the raid boss is 1 million, at 1.5x edge, your damage will be 1.5 million. Each time a teammate attacks the boss the combo edge will keep building up (1.6x, 1.7x...etc) until it reaches 2x. 2x is maximum edge. You will do twice more than your normal damage at this point.

You alone cannot build the combo. At least two teammates have to take turns to build up the combo.

There is also a timer for the combo edge. It will start to tick down from 1 hour after attacking. Each time you or your teammates attack, the timer will reset giving you more time to attack. But about every 5 attacks, the time gets shortened. After so many attacks, the timer will only give you 5 mins to keep the edge going. If no one attacks during that time frame, the combo edge will disappear and you and your teammates have to work again to build the combo edge up.

Tips on Attacking Raid Bosses
------------------------------------
**There are two types of raid bosses during crackdown event.
1. Team battle raid boss: Only your teammates can attack this boss. Only appears 2 hours before and after a team is assembled. Please see Team Battle Schedule in game or visit Winter Plunderland for more info.
2. Non-team battle raid boss: Players that randomly encounter this boss during missions can attack.

**The road to higher ranking in this event is by killing raid bosses and getting MVP's or #2/#3.

**If you are a low level or if you don't have decent gear, and if you KNOW that you won't get MVP or #2/#3, use just 1 battle point PER raid boss. Using 3 battle points knowing you won't get top 3 is wasteful.

**For Ninjas with better/decent gear, wait until the combo edge is at 2x (team battle raid boss only). Let the lowbies build up combo, then attack at 2x. You will do twice the normal damage on the raid boss.

**It is recommended that you save your karma, cookies & doriyaki(s) for team battle bosses only. Team battle raid bosses have higher rewards and points than non-team battle raid bosses. Plus you can take advantage of combo edge.

Additional Tip: Super Boss

**If you cannot kill the Super Boss in 1 or 2 go's, try to wait out the frenzy. That way you won't encounter the Super Boss anymore.

lol.. before i get 2, now get 2 gear more .. I think all the players get double .. hopefully not taken by the nr again

i get the sashes also....now my r-5 ace sash is max fusion...wow...hope nr dint take it back....my encounter rate is extreamly high,wit cookie n karma,i reach stage 8 in 2 hour...q super boos in 1 round...stage 9,disappoint wen sawing "coming soon"guess my rank...now 30+ wit 50k point...hope dont drop so much at late event...n frz in game say tat if u buy 5 sushi+1 free dorayaki,it appear tat u buy the summoning bell,but u get both item...is tat a bug or server been hack?but tis event seen less gear in edge...just same stat wit my best gear-76k att,58k def...

Ooh. Thanks for the heads up on the sashes. I only got the 4*, but now it is maxed =) Now I know what to use my extra dragon gems and ore on.

I enjoy this event was the first, when can beat yashici wearing christmas hat in one battle, because getting points 2000, but there's I hate that rarely encounter rate, such a waste of energy and yashici the rapidly disappearing, as they arise only one swipe or tap .. Another case that paying players would have been nice always .. lol
there may have tips that make it all fun?

of course my goal can get rank below 1000, because I was not paying player(not yet have credit card).. lol

By the way, I saw Sarah mentioning combo timers somewhere and have one observation. I believe the 2x edge timer changes from 25:00 to 15:00 at combo #20.

Thank you for your close observation! Then I think that would mean:

1-5 combo - 1 hour
5-10 combo - 45 min
10-15 combo - 30 min
15-20 combo - 25 min
20-25 combo - 15 min
25-30 combo - 10 min
30+ combo - 5 min

Does that look right? Can anyone confirm?

Anybody else having this problem? Attack Prize - Dragon Gem was not rewarded after using 3 BTs on Mudds. I know this because I used up all my dragon gems to upgrade gear then I needed just 1 more gem to upgrade. After attacking Mudds, I went back to upgrade that gear, and come to find out no dragon gems were rewarded.

Did you check back a little later. I find that the dragon gem rewards from raid bosses tend to take a while to reach my account.

is there anything special about the elemental swords and flutes other than the elemental properties?

Unless you have a weaker elemental weapon than those flutes and swords don't worry bout them in my opinion. It's probably just to give weaker players different elemental gears earlier so that they will get the edge.

This seems like it'll be a fun event. A lot less stressful and feverish than double trouble.

Yes it took a little while but it got here! Thanks

none of d gear so far are worth getting for me... only d xmas wreaths are good for raid bosses... hope d encounter rate increases soon enough
