Arena Event: Midwinter Madness 1/28/13-2/8/13
***Arena Event: Midwinter Madness is Here!***
Please visit Midwinter Madness for more info!
Arena event takes some careful planning and timing. Most important thing is to pay attention when you are about to level up or clear a floor so you don't waste any first aid kits! Your health replenishes after leveling/clearing floor. It's hard to tell sometimes whether an opponent is an easy target or not. But try to stay with easier looking opponents. The higher the rep reward, the tougher the opponent will be!
**First Aid Kit(s), How Does it Work?
1. After discovering a first aid kit(s), you can either choose to use it for yourself or send it to one of your 3 friends. What is the benefit of sending a kit to your friend? You will get assist from that player when needed!
2. You will also receive kits from your friends. Battle for kits & stock them up just before you are about to level up or clear a floor. They only stack to 3.
3. Equip your non-event gear(normal gear) to battle for kits, since there is no edge. You will do more damage and take less damage.
4. Received first aid kit (s) from friends will expire in 24 hours! Make sure to battle and stock up before it disappears!
**Tips for Free/Newer Players:
1. If you are looking for a decent rank, choose 1 or 2 of the most strongest element for you and stick to those tower(s). Once you reach the top floor (you get most points from top floor), you can choose to keep farming for points.
2. Battle for Major/Fast Heister when you have frenzy - gives you higher chance to crit - and when you have 3/4 or more of health. Use first aid kit(s) if you'd like if you are low on health. You can also use attack-aid at this time. You may obtain some decent gear if lucky, by defeating them.
3. You may also obtain a few gold fused gears by completing floor rush. You can try and hunt for floor rush by switching towers but be prepared with karma & cookies to try and get top 3.
4. If you are running low on health, choose an opponent with much more higher rep than you. You can lose purposely and lose very little rep, plus you will gain full health. If you are desperate with no kits but do not want to sacrifice the loss, you can switch to a 1st floor of another tower and battle couple of ninjas (they are easy kills) there to get floor completion. You can gain full health that way.
5. Now, this is just from my observation but it seems opponents with rep plus x10 dragon gem reward seems the easiest to beat. (Somebody correct me if I'm wrong)

Thank you Pierre & Russell for contributing! Will update soon! ^^
I can't contribute much to floor rushes this event. :\
Like I said, I'm staying low this event and gonna try not to spend, I have no cookies either so I want to see how I do. See if I can get 3 towers.

I'm pretty sure that's supposed to be an armor? Tool doesn't come before armor. >.<
BTW, Pierre's floor rush for water, thunder and fire is matching mines.

So far I haven't found a tool floor rush yet on any of the five towers, I think I hit a weapon on earth 4 and a armor on earth 5. Also! If you want to keep your win streak but low on health all you have to do is LOOSE a first aid fight. You'll have full health afterwards.

Tool comes latest. After armor. If you lose a first aid fight, you still lose rep & can lose tons. Unless they changed it?

Oops... my bad... yeah its the armour. It doesn't really look like much of an armour.. thought it was a cloak at first.

Re: Arena Event: Midwinter Madness 1/28/13-2/8/13
Is it worth dying and losing win streak? I was looking at all the top rank guys and they have a lot of points with no losses. I attribute some of those additional points to them maintaining a win-streak, but I'm sure they also get some points from killing heisters.
I suppose if you're not planning to spend any money on first aid kids then you do need to make some sacrifices to keep going.
But ideally, to maximize points is it best to maintain winstreak? I will sometimes fight a weaker opponent that provides less reps so I don't lose as much hp and maintain my win streak.

Re: Arena Event: Midwinter Madness 1/28/13-2/8/13
If you are spending and want to rank high, maintaining win streak is very much worth it & important. Last arena event, I maintained my winning streak, 0-0 loss&draws and bought & used 3 first aid kit(L) and ranked #7. Plus using just sushis.DeeVine wrote:Is it worth dying and losing win streak? If you aren't spending at all, I don't think maintaining win streak is that important. I'm going to try and not lose even though I won't be spending on this one though.
BTW, killing heisters don't give you additional points. Just according to which floor you are on.

Re: Arena Event: Midwinter Madness 1/28/13-2/8/13
My advice is better pay afew reps to switch to another unuse tower and lose to free h.kit. then switch back to continue. Win streaks is very important especially during floor rush. coz without it you're going nowhere with 7-20 reps. if you can't move to higher floor you can't earn bigger pts. GLuck guys & girls!

Re: Arena Event: Midwinter Madness 1/28/13-2/8/13
Stop thinking about farming at this moment until you've reached F15. dun waste the mission turns. Try clear as many floor as possible. You get extra pts for clearing all 5s.

Re: Arena Event: Midwinter Madness 1/28/13-2/8/13
I wouldn't even have chance to farm for points before they open up the floors most of the time. But yes... the win streak is extremely important. After a certain amount of win streak, the bonus rep alone is probably worth a full energy turn. The increase of points is indirect in the sense that you move up the floor faster and get better quality points per encounter faster.
I never agree with losing first aid battle if I can help it... not so much for myself, but for the fact that the person sending me the aid loses out on an assist. But the maximum benefit is switching to an unused tower and losing first aid battle there. You keep win streak and lost rep isn't important with a full health back. Just not very nice to do it that way.
I hope NR don't see this. They might make losing in first aid battle also losing win streak.

Question
I only just finished the newcomers event so I joined this current event about a day late. My question is during the newcomers event I used my battle points for raid bosses but in this event it appears I don't need these battle points for fights does this mean I should be using my battle points for treasure battles or am I missing something?
